At 7AM on business days, online orders are automatically exported to production and typically ship that day. Any orders entered after 7AM will go into the next production cycle.
Super Fast Turn Around
In order to provide the freshest coffee possible, we roast and package to order. Â Every business day* at 7am we assemble online orders into a production cycle and we roast and package those orders.
Orders completed after 7AM will go into the production cycle on the next business day.
Typically, orders in a production cycle is shipped that business day by Canada Post. Shipments to the GTA are typically delivered by Canada Post business day after that.
*Business Days are Mon-Friday excluding public holidays.
Subscription Timing
We will send you a reminder email 2 days before your subscription recurs. Â This gives you time to make any changes to your subscription or put it on hold. Â When the subscription recurs, the generated order joins the next open production cycle the next business day.
Subscription Change Timing
Think of your subscription as an order generator: When you make changes to your subscription, they take effect on the next order that is generated.  This means that a change to a subscription does not affect any order that has already recurred, even if it has not yet been shipped.  You can check your recent orders from your account.
If you want any change to a subscription order that has already recurred, we will endeavour to make the change but we may not be able to. If we receive your request in time to remove it from our production cycle, we will make the change. This may mean that your order is delayed for a day or so while we manually revise it and include it in a production cycle.
If your order is roasted and packaged, we regretfully cannot change or cancel it, even if you have not yet received your shipping notification.
Pickup at Birds &Beans Cafe
Online orders placed here for Cafe Pickup are assembled in the same production cycles: orders placed at 7am on business days are roasted and packaged in the day’s production.
At the end of that business day (typically about 4pm) they are taken to Birds & Beans Cafe. We send an email when it has arrived there. It is available for pickup during open hours after that.
Birds & Beans Cafe has a “pickup now” menu for foodservice and items they keep in stock.
