How much will it cost?
You will have the opportunity to see the cost of shipping to your destination before entering your credit card information and placing your order. We use Canada Post to ship online orders and we ship only to Canadian addresses. (For deliveries to addresses in the USA visit Birds and Beans LLC.)
We have amazing shipping rates! If your order contains 1lb or more of roasted coffee, shipping to GTA, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec City is only $3.50… Wow! For other destinations we offer approximately 50% off the Canada Post Xpresspost rates and no handling fee!
Shipping to the Café for pickup is free.

Can I pick it up at the Café?
Yes! Just choose Pickup at Café instead of entering shipping details. Click here to see pickup instructions. There are no shipping charges on pickup orders.
Can I ship to the USA?
Birds and Beans Inc. ships only to Canadian addresses. For deliveries to addresses in the USA visit Birds and Beans LLC.
How Long will it Take?
Over the years, we’ve developed a reputation for really fast service. We generally process orders the Next Business Day but sometimes we send orders the day they are placed.
Orders to the GTA, Ottawa, London, Winsor and Montreal usually arrive the next business day after we send them! Most other destinations in Ontario arrive within 2 business days of shipping. Canada Post delivery standard to Halifax, Moncton, Regina, Saint John, Saskatoon and Winnipeg are 3 days. 4 days to Calgary, Charlottetown, Edmonton, Fredericton and Vancouver, and 5 days to Victoria. To check the delivery standard to a specific destination see Canada Post Delivery Standards. Enter M8W 3R1 in field 1. Enter the destination postal code in field 2. We use Expedited Parcel, so the service standard is in that column.
Can I track my package?
When you place your order you will receive an order confirmation with a link to track your order’s progress. Note that the system at Canada Post may not recognize the tracking number for some hours after it is picked up.
If there is no-one available to receive a package, Canada Post uses their discretion about what to do. They may choose to leave the package at the door or with a neighbour or take it to a local postal outlet. You can, however, give explicit instructions using the shipping option.
“Do not safe drop” ensures that if no-one takes delivery it will go to the closest postal outlet, probably in a nearby pharmacy.
“Leave at door” ensures that the package will be left at the door even if no-one receives it.
“Signature” ensures that a signature must be obtained upon delivery. Note that the signature option adds $1.50 to the cost of shipping.
When we ship orders containing merchandise or with a value over $100, we default the shipping option to “Do not safe drop”. You may change this, but if you do, you are responsible for lost shipments.
What if my package is Undeliverable?
Please ensure the address you enter is correct and complete. Packages returned to us due to incorrect shipping addresses or that are not picked up from the post office will be subject to a return postage fee and a reshipment fee if applicable.
**Note that postage for orders over 66lb and any order to an air stage destination require a shipping quote. We’ll confirm the shipping charge with you before filling your order.
