Yes! You can pickup orders at the Adriana’s Birds & Beans Café at the end of the next business day. You will receive an email when the order is available for pickup.

We roast to order every business day!  Here is how the timing works.  It is typical that orders are shipped the next business day.  The time to arrive at their a GTA destination is often just 1 more business day.

For standard shipping we choose the courier based on price and the delivery performance we’ve observed to your area.  If there is a courier that you prefer or that you have repeated problems with, let us know and if there are several options, we will take your preference into account.

When we ship your order you will receive a shipping confirmation with a link to track your order’s progress.

If there is no-one available to receive a package, each courier has their own procedures. Canada Post uses their discretion about what to do. They may choose to leave the package at the door or with a neighbour or take it to a local postal outlet.  Many couriers will reattempt the next business day.  And, once you have a tracking number, some allow you to provide more details.

Please ensure the address you enter is correct and complete. Packages returned to us due to incorrect shipping addresses or that are not picked up from the post office will be subject to a return postage fee and a reshipment fee if applicable.

Yes!  Back in 2001 we were the first company in Canada to roast date all of our coffee and provide a roast date guarantee.  We roast to order and guarantee that we never ship coffee more than a week old.  Here is a post on why coffee freshness matters.

We roast every coffee to bring out its best!  

Those studying low acid coffee have correlated it with lower caffeine, darker roasting, faster roasting, Arabica coffee, and beans sourced from Central America or Indonesia.  Our best choices meeting these criteria are: Guatemala Jaceltenango, Canopy, Shadow, Nicaragua Wood Thrush, or Honduras Howler Monkey Pitch Black. 

However, we found no statistically meaningful studies that it is the PH of the coffee that causes upsets stomach. In this post, we wonder if it is coffee freshness that is most impactful in reducing stomach upset and we call for scientific study to investigate.Â
